Return to the Farmers Market

April 10, 2013

This past Saturday was our return to the Harrisonburg Farmers Market. Although our market goes year round, we took Jan-March off for a much needed break.

As always the market was fantastic. We really do have the best market here in Harrisonburg. Not only does our market have your typical and not so typical produce and plants, but we also have fresh baked goods, artisan bread, local meats (including bison!), a guy fresh cooking chicken on site, jewelry and crafts.

We have a 44 stall pavilion, which was completely full of vendors this past Saturday, and an overflow alley that will fill up with more vendors as the season picks up. We also have live music most weekends, and on occasion, carriage rides.

Bottom line, best market ever.

Being a vendor on my first week back, I did not have much time to walk around this week. Hopefully I’ll get to walk around some more this coming weekend.
